Halo: Book 1 Halo Series Review

5 Stars: I enjoyed this book immensely.  I absolutely love a romance with forbidden love. I also LOVE angels and demons. My favorite character has to be Jake Thorn because he is mysterious and dangerous. I have NO bad comments about this book. None. Zilch.

The characters were flawlessly written, they were all unique in their own special ways. Bethany is an angel that falls in love with a human ( she is more human than her siblings). Xavier is Bethany's human boyfriend. Gabriel is Bethany's brother who is also an Archangel. Ivy is Bethany's sister who is also an angel. And last but certainly not least is Jake, he is a demon that hates Bethany for turning him down. As you see all the characters are different from the others. This leads to some great play between them all.

The story, from start to finish was awesome. Totally, completely awesomesauce. This is an absolute MUST READ!

Three angels are sent down to bring good to the world: Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer; and Bethany, a teenage girl who is the least experienced of the trio. But she is the most human, and when she is romantically drawn to a mortal boy, the angels fear she will not be strong enough to save anyone—especially herself—from the Dark Forces.
Is love a great enough power against evil?

Complaint of the Week: Boring Beginnings

So when I'm reading a book I really was thinking(for once ;p). I thought to myself, what makes some beginnings of a story boring to me? Well I am going to answer that. When I am reading a story I like it when the beginning  has some action in it. Not like fighting but like the characters are doing something other than sit or do regular life stuff. Like a good idea is that the main character is getting back to college and runs into a best friend and they go over their past 3 years of life.

That's it for this quick complaint. Have a nice day.

Prodigy: Shapeshifter Chronicle Book 2 review

4.5 Stars: I enjoyed this book because it is just plain awesome! The characters were the best part of this story. My fave character is Ana. She made me laugh and she reminded me of myself. She isn't the strongest but she can definitely handle herself. Chance is also one of my favorite characters. Even if he is hurt he can always come to the rescue at anytime.

This book was a quick read. It was a while until I got to the point where I was actually into it. For me the first few chapters dragged. The tempo was a bit slow. After that it was awesome.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a fantastic shifter story with a spunky female character and a strong male shifter-dude.

Complaint of the Week: Twilight Formula

Okay, so I have read A LOT of books but most have the same story line! It goes something like this: New girl falls in love with dark mysterious guy. The girl is stupid and the guy is afraid the girl will find out his secret. Girl is set on finding out the 'secret' of the guy and so on and so forth. This is what my mom calls the Twilight Formula (Duh Duh Dunnnnn...) So, just a heads up to all the authors out there, DON'T WRITE TWILIGHT!!!!!!!

Please come up with a different storyline. Why not switch it around and make the boy weaker or just keep Twilight out of the story completely. Now that's a good idea! ;P

-Bridget

P.S. If you don't write using the Twilight Formula now this complaint isn't for you.

Leopard Moon: Moon Series Review

4 Stars: I enjoyed this book because I absolutely love shifters. It was interesting because it took two real world rivals (dogs and cats) and put them together. Well, okay, not really 'dogs' and 'cats', but you get the idea.

My favorite character has to be Kess because she is a leopard shifter that can handle herself. She isn't a weak girl like most of the other girls in these types of stories. She reminds me of some of my favorite female characters- strong physically and mentally.

My only complaint with this book is the beginning. I honestly didn't enjoy the beginning of the book. It took me a few chapters to really get into the story. When the P.O.V. was Sek I didn't understand what he was supposed to be getting at when he was talking about his sister. Then once I did get it I was grossed out.

If you're looking for a strong heroine and an intense story check this book out! I'm looking forward to reading the second book in this series.
