Divine Vices: Divine Vices Review

5 Stars: Divine Vices is a great book. I found myself reading this book for hours without stopping. I personally thought that the story kept me guessing about the characters throughout the whole book. This book is one of the best stories with demons I've read.

My favorite thing over all were the characters. I love when I can relate to any characters. This story was so close to people that I know, it was scary. I really really REALLY hope you read this! This is a must read.

Danger seldom leaves its victims unscathed in the ways of seduction, and this lesson is one that sixteen-year-old Cassie Foster now knows all too well.

Nine months following the traumatic accident that claimed the life of her mother and sister, this high school junior has at last found a fresh start in the quiet town of New Haven, Maine. In the company of her best friends, Ian and Gwen, she’s bracing the usual turmoil of adolescence and taking all in stride… until the new transfer student, Jackson Matthews, comes walking into her life. He’s arrogant, sarcastic, roguish, devastatingly sexy, and the very last thing Cassie wants to entertain. But when circumstances drive these two together, she finds herself a bit too close for comfort as their bond intensifies. Plagued by unexplainable events, a sudden string of disappearances, and even a cult-related murder, Cassie begins to fear for her life. Is it all just a coincidence that these happenings began when this Casanova strolled into town, or has she in fact fallen for a real lady-killer, or worse?”

Excerpt:

“Class, please help me in welcoming our newest student to New Haven High, Jackson Matthews,” announced Miss Tipton.
“Hi,” everyone replied in unison as if they were greeting someone at an A.A. meeting.
I covered my mouth to hide the laughter that began rising to the surface.
“As if that salutation wasn’t uncomfortable enough first hour,” the stranger replied with a spark of humor.
The comment was enough to catch my attention, so I surrendered my eyes to the front of the room. There he stood just over six feet tall, lean yet muscular, dressed all in faded shades of black from his t-shirt, fitted jeans, motorcycle boots, and leather jacket. His penetratingly sharp, icy blue serpentine eyes were all the more accentuated by lashes as long and dark as a cow’s. Obnoxiously perfect bed-head black locks of hair laid tousled across his forehead, framing a striking face saved for the glossy pages of magazines.
He was guaranteed to be egotistical and vain, as shallow as a kiddy pool, and right up Stacy’s alley. Staring at someone like him should have come with an indication sign, like “COULD CAUSE RETINA DAMAGE!” or “NEVER GONNA SEE ANY BETTER THIS SIDE OF YOUR TELEVISION SCREEN!” at least. In other words, I dropped any delusional notion that I had a chance with him the very second I refocused my attention back to my textbook. That was that. Thank God. The last thing I needed in my life was a distraction, especially one of overly perfect, um... proportions.
“You can take a seat in front of Miss Foster, right over there in the front corner,” said Miss Tipton.
Damn it!

Review Ethereal Influence: The Inquisition by Lana Bradstream

2.5 Stars: I honestly got so lost reading this book. In the beginning there were two main characters and one dies. By the middle there were three main characters. In the end there are five main characters, or what I thought there were. Two of the main characters disappear and die. I would have liked this much more if  the story had focused on fewer characters to keep the book from becoming so chaotic.

The writing was really fluid. I thought the pacing was good. The storyline was unique and really interesting. I just found myself trying to keep track of the characters and wondering who was next to be axed.

I didn't really like this book, but that doesn't mean you won't. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Redheads are Soulless: Red Trilogy Book 1 Review

4.5 Stars:  RAS is a book that I can REALLY relate to (maybe because I am a redhead:P) This story is a really good take off of the original story of "gingers." You know, that we are all soul-stealers. :) All of the mystery kept me reading.

SPOILER ALERT:
My favorite character is Robbie because he seems so dangerous but turns out to be a guy looking for somebody to love him. I also liked the other races of things that are almost demons.

I really think that all YA's and NA's should read this book. This book will keep everybody reading with mysteries at every corner, betrayal, and the romance.

Hades: Book 2 Halo Trilogy Review

5 Stars: Hades is my favorite book out of the Halo Trilogy so far because the characters were pushed to their limits. All of the characters were sent on extremely awesome adventures in this book (which I really like.) I really felt that all the areas were described in a way that I could actually picture what they looked like in my mind. My favorite character still has to be Jake because he broke so many rules that I lost count at like 20!

I believe that all girls at the ages of 12-16 would like this book (I sure did ;)  If you are thinking of reading this... happy reading!

This series is an absolute MUST read if you love angels, demons and more demons. :)

Heaven Help Her.

Bethany Church is an angel sent to Earth to keep dark forces at bay. Falling in love was never part of her mission, but the bond between Beth and her mortal boyfriend, Xavier Woods, is undeniably strong. But even Xavier’s love, and the care of her archangel siblings, Gabriel and Ivy, can’t keep Beth from being tricked into a motorcycle ride that ends up in Hell. There, the demon Jake Thorn bargains for Beth’s release back to Earth. But what he asks of her will destroy her, and quite possibly, her loved ones, as well.

Halo: Book 1 Halo Series Review

5 Stars: I enjoyed this book immensely.  I absolutely love a romance with forbidden love. I also LOVE angels and demons. My favorite character has to be Jake Thorn because he is mysterious and dangerous. I have NO bad comments about this book. None. Zilch.

The characters were flawlessly written, they were all unique in their own special ways. Bethany is an angel that falls in love with a human ( she is more human than her siblings). Xavier is Bethany's human boyfriend. Gabriel is Bethany's brother who is also an Archangel. Ivy is Bethany's sister who is also an angel. And last but certainly not least is Jake, he is a demon that hates Bethany for turning him down. As you see all the characters are different from the others. This leads to some great play between them all.

The story, from start to finish was awesome. Totally, completely awesomesauce. This is an absolute MUST READ!

Three angels are sent down to bring good to the world: Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer; and Bethany, a teenage girl who is the least experienced of the trio. But she is the most human, and when she is romantically drawn to a mortal boy, the angels fear she will not be strong enough to save anyone—especially herself—from the Dark Forces.
Is love a great enough power against evil?

Shadow Demons: Peachville High series review

4 Stars: Shadow Demons was the twist in the series. Harper had to go through a lot of changes. In the beginning of the story she was a normal witch (well as normal as she could be.) By the end of the story she had found out how her mother died and who did it. The last thing that she thought would happen, her mom's killer came after her.

I really enjoyed this book but it wasn't the best of the series. My favorite character has to be Jackson because he is dark and dangerous. I relate to Harper because she really believes that she doesn't belong with the witches and neither do I.

In Peachville, there's a fine line between good and evil.

That line is about to be crossed.

Bitter Demons: Peachville high Review

5 stars: Bitter Demons has to be my favorite Peachville High book yet! I LOVED the story!! All of the adventure and heart breaks kept me hooked on this book from the beginning to the end. I also liked how we got to hear Jackson's story, finally. When I read this book I really felt like I was part if it. Another fabulous job by Ms. Cannon.
The characters are excellent! Harper is the prima, she has great power and huge responsibilities. Jackson is a demon with a deep dark secret. Lark is Harper's BFF. Brooke is a strange girl that is constantly trying to get back at Harper. Mary Anne is a very weird girl, she is always in her room alone.

I believe everyone should get a chance to read this book! I can't wait to read the next one. :)

Inner Demons:Peachville High Book 2 Review

4 stars: Inner Demons, by Sarra Cannon, is one of the best books I've ever read! The story is really good. I really connected with Harper.

Inner Demons is about Harper and the other cheerleaders. Her and the other girls do a ritual and Harper ends up with a tattoo. The tattoo is demon shaped and it moves (because it's magic.) Cool, right?

Brooke gets her demon during the yearly initiation and gets into the witch group. All seniors have to go through the initiation. Brooke changes after hers. Harper had sneaked in but now she doesn't want to get in.

What will Harper do next?

I enjoyed reading this book very much. I believe that you will enjoy it, too!

Becoming a Demons cheerleader was the last thing Harper Madison expected when she moved to the small town of Peachville. Now that she’s an official member of the squad, her training can begin. Only, this is no normal group of cheerleaders. Harper isn’t there to learn dances and cheers. She became a cheerleader in order to finally learn how to control the magic inside.

The Peachville Demons cheerleading squad is really a training ground for a powerful coven of witches called the Order of Shadows. The training opens up a new world for Harper. It’s a world of beauty and magic beyond her wildest dreams, but also a world of pressure and impossible expectations.

A world where every secret hides an even darker secret.

Beautiful Demons: Peachville High series book 1

4 stars: Beautiful Demons is a very mysterious book. I loved all of the characters! I really felt like I was part of the story. It pretty much sucked me into it with its great characters, plot, and mysteries. Harper was my fave because of her powers.

Beautiful Demons is about Harper. She is a foster child that just can't fit in anywhere and is constantly getting kicked out of fosters homes. She has this power, she can move things with her mind and doesn't think anyone can do that too until she moves to Shadowford. Shadowford is a foster house for the troubled girls like Harper. At Shadowford Harper meets Agnes, a very enthusiastic girl and Jackson, a mysterious boy. Although Harper thinks nothing can get any worse she ends up passing out and having a weird vision. When she wakes she has a strange cut on her hand and can't remember anything. Everyone says that when she fell she cut her hand and she believed them until the head-cheerleader was killed(burned from the inside.) When she goes back to school all of the cheerleaders adore Harper, even though they should hate her. Harper wants to know why all of this is happening and why she can't remember anything.

Will Harper ever get her memory back? Who had burned the head-cheerleader from the inside and how?

This story rocks! Well, and has witches and demons... so, yeah, go read it.

In Peachville, even the cheerleaders have a dark side...

Harper Madison isn't like other girls. She has extraordinary powers, but her inability to control them has gotten her kicked from so many foster homes she's lost count. Shadowford Home for Girls is her last chance, and she hopes Peachville High will be the fresh start she needs.

But when evidence ties her to the gruesome murder of a Demons cheerleader, Harper discovers this small town has a big secret.

Beautiful Demons is a fast-paced YA novel with magic, mystery, and a touch of romance. This series will appeal to fans of Pretty Little Liars, Hex Hall, and The Vampire Diaries.
